Buongiorno worked in several churches in Boston that I have not yet visited. Would you be willing to visit them and photograph their murals for me? I can provide detailed information on locations, how to get in (some are closed) and whom to talk to. Donatus Buongiorno e i miei bisnonni (Buongiorno e Troisi) erano di Solofra, un paese nella provincia di Avellino, e nel 1908 Buongiorno lavorò sul restauro della chiesa di famiglia—La Collegiata di San Michele Arcangelo—in Solofra. Donatus Buongiorno and my great-grandparents (Buongiorno and Troisi) were from Solofra, a town in the province of Avellino. In 1908, Buongiorno worked on a restoration project in the family’s church in Solofra—La Collegiata di San Michele Arcangelo. I am most eager to hear from residents of Solofra (who speak a little English, as my Italian is not good). In particular, I’d be happy to hear from members of the Buongiorno and Troisi families. Mio nonno Domenico Troisi, nipote di Donatus Buongiorno, nel 1906 viveva in Via Cesare Rosaroll nei pressi di Porta Capuana. Conoscete questa zona? My grandfather Domenico Troisi, nephew of Donatus Buongiorno, lived on Via Cesare Rosaroll near the Porta Capuana in 1906. Do you know anything about this area? I would love to communicate with someone who can help me discover his address. The street is only four blocks long, and I have some clues where to begin the research. Donatus Buongiorno attended this art academy during the 1880s and may have taught there before emigrating to the United States in 1892. However, information that might support this latter hypothesis is sparse on the school's website. If you can help me dig deeper, please contact me.
