Stolen Paintings

When he travelled to Italy, which he did every three years of so while he lived in the U.S., Donatus Buongiorno brought back paintings by Italian contemporaries which he resold in New York.

In 1906, several paintings were stolen out of his studio, and he reported the theft to the police. He wasn't treated very respectfully, as the casual racism and yellow journalism of reports in the New York Times and New York Sun reveal.

I've done extensive research on this incident and have written up my findings in detail. Please contact me if you would like to receive my report.
